Training scheme

The vocational training scheme usually has approximately 28 registrars and is small enough to remain cohesive but large enough that the educational programme can be well planned.

We have close links with the Military Deanery and Military GPSTR's attend the half-day release training sessions and other events.

At present there are 10 general practice registrar posts attached to the scheme, all providing education centred on the registrar's needs and excellent experience in general practice.

The hospital posts are mainly based at the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton but we have two posts at Darlington Memorial Hospital and one at James Cook University Hospital.
